went home to be
with the Lord on November 5th

Wanda Houston was
a Mother in Kentenia
Full Gospel Church and was
in the youth ministry for many
years with her husband, the Rev.
"Ed" Edwin Houston. She
was a member and worker in all
fields for many years with her
husband. She would do whatever
was needed for the church.

Wanda Hall Houston, 68,
Blackmont, died Nov. 5, 2006, at
Pineville Community Hospital.
A native of Hulen, Houston was a
retired postal worker and was in
the youth ministry for many years
with her husband, the Rev.
"Ed" Edwin Houston. She
was a member and worker in all
fields for many years with her
husband. She would do whatever
was needed for the church.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Joseph Warren Hall and
Zada Harris Hall; and a sister,
Jessie Thelma Hall.
Survivors include her husband,
the Rev. Edwin "Ed"
Houston, Blackmont; one son,
Kenneth Earl Houston,
Barbourville; two daughters: Etta
Jo Wright and husband, Joseph,
Wallins; and Edwina Eldridge and
husband, Raymond Jr., Hulen;
three brothers: Howard Hall and
wife, Lorrie, Nashville, Tenn.;
Clarence Hall and wife, Jean,
Hulen; and Harold Hall and wife,
Brenda, Cincinnati; four sisters:
Juanell Cassady, Keavy; Connie
Joelene Derossett and husband,
Elmer, Hulen; Iva Iola Simpson
and husband, Brown Lee,
Cincinnati; and Archie Saylor and
husband, Johnny, Lexington; three
grandchildren: Elizabeth Berry,
Matthew Thomas Ingram and Raymond
Eldridge III; two
great-grandchildren: Caleb and
Connor Berry; and a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 to
7 p.m. with a celebration of life
service beginning at 7 p.m. at
Kentenia Full Gospel Church in
Wallins.
Funeral services will be
conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at
the church with the Rev. David
Rice, the Rev. Glen Wilson and
the Rev. B.J. McKinney
officiating.
Music will be
provided by sister Betty Jean
Robinson.
Burial will follow in the Hall
Family Cemetery at Hulen.
Pallbearers will be her son,
sons-in-law and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr.
Steven Morgan and staff and
administration of the Pineville
Community Hospital.
Creech-Durham
Funeral Home in Pineville is in
charge of arrangements.
She will
be truly missed by all.
